After a pretty horrific New Year's Eve performance, Mariah Carey's team wants you to shift your focus. What better way to help you do that than to announce that a biopic on the diva's life is in the works?

In a chat with <a href="http://www.etonline.com/news/206474_exclusive_mariah_carey_manager_dishes_on_mariah_world_season_2_and_a_secret_biopic_project/" target="_blank"><em>Entertainment Tonight</em></a>'s Carly Steel on Wednesday, Mariah Carey's manager, Stella Bulochnikov (who you can see on the star's reality show, <em>Mariah's World</em>) revealed that she, along with Carey, are working on bringing a scripted drama about her life to the small screen.
Bulochnikov told <em>ET</em>, "We have a secret project. We do have a scripted drama that we are developing that has not been announced about Mariah's life that's going to be incredibly poignant."
We're not sure if the "small screen" bringing her story to life will be Lifetime, but if so, there's no telling who might play her...
Because the star is "one in seven billion" as Bulochnikov put it, the singer's manager said they haven't even thought of anyone who could fill her shoes on screen just yet.
"I don't even know," she said. "We haven't gotten there."
But aside from sharing her own story, Carey reportedly also inked a deal with the Hallmark Channel to co-star in, as well as develop, produce, compose original songs <em>and</em> direct three original movies after appearing in and directing <em>A Christmas Melody</em> for them. Who knows? Hallmark could end up being the network that airs her biopic, and the film could be part of her packaged deal with the channel.
After ringing in the year in a less than pleasant way (her Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve performance was pretty much the first big news story of 2017), things are looking up for Mimi.
But serious question: Who could you see playing Carey in her biopic? Our bets? Maybe Zendaya Coleman or even Leona Lewis. But of course, we'll have to wait and see.
