Gospel singer Kim Burrell's name has been sprayed across the web over this past week, and things don't seem to be getting better. It all started when she referred to homosexuality as "perverted" in a sermon via Facebook Live. While everyone has the right to their opinion, her remarks didn't settle well with many.
From collaborators Janelle Monae and Pharrell Williams and even Frank Ocean's own mother voicing her disappointment, Burrell has been enduring the hot seat.
But instead of dying down, the fire only seems to be growing. Apparently, her controversial remarks have cost her her radio show, Bridging the Gap. Literally. According to a statement released to the media, her show, which began in mid-2016 on Texas Southern University’s radio station KTSU, aimed to combine music and conversation, was cancelled.
“The Kim Burrell show is no longer airing as part of KTSU Radio programming,” it reads.
There were no other details provided as to why Burrell's radio program was cancelled.

In the now viral-video, Burrell said, “I came to tell you about sin. That sin nature. That perverted homosexual spirit, and the spirit of delusion and confusion, it has deceived many men and women, and it’s caused us pain on the body of Christ… You as a man, you open your mouth and take a man’s penis in your face, you are perverted… You are a woman and will shake your face in another woman’s breast, you are perverted.”
