It’s looking like Franchesca Ramsey is on the come up. We remember her from the hair tutorials, and most memorably “Sh*t White Girls Say To Black Girls,” which catapulted her career into what it is now: “Decoded” on MTV, a contributor on the Nightly Show, working with Tracee Ellis Ross for “Black Girls Rock.”
The come up has been real.
And it only seems to be getting better and better. Today, the comedian announced that she’s executive producing the pilot for a show, her own show on Comedy Central.
OK! here it is….I’m exec producing a pilot for my OWN LATE NIGHT SHOW ON COMEDY FREAKING CENTRAL!!! https://t.co/e1W4l1JZJR pic.twitter.com/m9yI5eTjIj

According to Vanity Fair, Comedy Central has ordered nine pilots with three series pick ups. Vanity Fair, named Ramsey’s yet-to-be-titled project as the one with “the most tantalizing potential.”
Ramsey’s show would utilize the most “diverse set of comedians on TV” in an effort to “heal America through brutal comedy, surprising guests and breakdowns of the most pressing cultural issues you never knew you cared about.”
The article also notes what we’ve known to the be true that late night television could use a Black woman’s voice.
We’re wishing Franchesca the best of luck.
