Any OutKast fans out there? Well, be prepared for some serious FOMO.
According to <a href="http://www.thefader.com/2017/01/06/outkast-college-course-armstrong-state-savannah-georgia">the Fader</a>, Dr. Regina Bradley, a professor in the Languages, Literature ad Philosophy department at Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia, has decided to offer students a class called "OutKast and the Rise of the Hip-Hop South.
Apparently, the new course will be the curriculum of a upper-level English class and focus on how André 3000 and Big Boi's "ideas about the South and southernness seep into other Southern writers."
Students who take on the course will have to deliver a paper discussing the themes in given hip-hop ("preferably and OutKast album"), according to the <a href="http://savannahnow.com/news/2017-01-03/savannah-college-professor-offers-course-outkast-hip-hop-genre#">Savannah Morning News</a>, as their final project.
Interestingly enough, Big Boi took notice of an article about the course published by Armstrong’s student newspaper, The Inkwell, and shared it on Facebook before telling Atlanta’s Creative Loafing: “I am originally from Savannah, and I remember Armstrong, so that is just super dope.” Reading that, Bradley said, made her day.
